I am taking the money to the shop to put a New 2009 Blue Ninja 250 on hold for my stepson. He graduates from high school this year. My wife and I are planning to get the bike out in April. Cornelius initially wanted black, but I was able to remind him about wanting stand out in traffic. He relented for the blue. Chicago Sports and Cycle only got 9 2009 Ninja 250's in for the year. Ours will stay crated until we are ready to pick it up.

Excellent choice. I rode an '05 for a little while and loved it. The gas mileage was excellent; it wasn't unlikely to reach 70+ mpg. The new ones look sharp with updated styling.
Those are seriously under rated bikes. Do you want to adopt another Grandson in his 50's? :)

I hoping to get a little time on the Ninja myself.
Glad you were able to snag one. They are fast sellers and are usually sold out early in the year. I only hear good things about that bike.
That is a very nice bike--and you two are very nice parents! I know someone who started on the Ninja 250 and is now an excellent semi-pro racer. He says that the bike is the best for learning to ride well and develop excellent skills for any kind of riding. Great choice!
